Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Bell County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its material, or using a search feature means the visitor accepts them. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the website.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act decisions. Bell County and Kentucky record resources are supplied for reference. This is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This private reference site is independent of every government office. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or files documents.

Its content identifies custodians such as Bell County law enforcement, the courts, Kentucky State Police, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Access to Kentucky public-agency files may be governed by the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, and criminal-history dissemination rules such as KRS 17.151. Those laws do not turn this private website into a records custodian. Some pages also connect visitors with outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

  • Use automated scrapers, bots, or similar collection tools
  • Violate a federal, Kentucky, or local law through the website
  • Threaten, stalk, or harass a person with information found here
  • Interfere with site speed, availability, or another visitor's access
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any account, system, or data
  • Rely on the content for lending, employment, housing, or insurance decisions

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No visitor may use information from this website or a linked service to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or unlawfully discriminate. Kentucky law, including KRS 17.580, limits misuse of Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry data and may impose criminal penalties. The registry serves public-safety awareness, never vigilantism.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Bell County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create credit reports, consumer reports, or official background checks. Its data and linked tools cannot be used to:

  • Set insurance terms or assess creditworthiness
  • Make an employment decision
  • Evaluate an applicant for housing
  • Decide access to a government program, permit, or license
  • Carry out any other FCRA-regulated purpose

A regulated check must come from Kentucky State Police or another service that lawfully complies with the FCRA for that purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

Website content is not legal advice and cannot determine how a warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement rule applies to one case. Kentucky's KRS Chapter 431 index includes the current record-relief statutes, including KRS 431.073 for listed felony convictions and KRS 431.078 for qualifying misdemeanors and violations. Consult a licensed Kentucky attorney for legal guidance.

6. No Warranties

All website content is offered "as is," with no guarantee that:

  • A partner search result will be complete or correct
  • The service will remain available without interruption
  • Every fact will be current, accurate, and complete
  • The pages contain no bugs, mistakes, or security weaknesses

Charges and records can be filed, changed, dismissed, sealed, or expunged. Gaps are possible, and nothing here is an official statement from a court, sheriff, or agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to government offices, courts, legal resources, or outside search services. Their content, availability, prices, and data practices remain outside this site's control. Review the destination's terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Bell County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Copying, distribution, modification, or derivative use requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the greatest extent allowed by law, the operator is not liable for damages arising from website use or reliance on information from this site or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to hold the operator harmless from claims, demands, and actions caused by that user's conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Kentucky law governs these terms. A dispute connected with website use must be brought in a court located in Kentucky.

12. Changes to These Terms

The operator may revise these terms. A revision takes effect when it is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in force. The affected text is adjusted only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
